Not a substitute for care
Nothing on NAP replaces a conversation with a qualified healthcare professional who knows your history. Always seek their guidance for questions about narcolepsy, medication, symptoms, driving safety, or any other medical concern.
Never delay seeking care because of something you read here. In an emergency, contact your local emergency services.
Lived experience is not evidence of what will work for you
Narcolepsy varies enormously between people. Approaches that make a day workable for the author may be unhelpful or unsafe for someone else. Lived-experience writing on NAP is labeled as such so you can weigh it accordingly.
How content is labeled
- Lived Experience — one person's account, not clinical guidance.
- Practical Guide — organizational approaches and planning methods.
- Educational Resource — general information, with sources pointed to their originals.
- Community Story — a contributor's own experience, in their words.
- Founder Draft — written but not yet published, and clearly marked as unfinished.
No professional relationship
Reading NAP, using the planner, downloading a tool, or contacting NAP does not create a clinician-patient, attorney-client, or advisory relationship.
