Install

Install NAP on your device

NAP installs straight from a supported browser. You get a NAP icon on your home screen and a full-screen window without browser chrome, using the same account and the same website.

NAP is not currently listed in the Apple App Store or Google Play. Installing from your browser is the only way to add NAP to your device today.

One tap, where your browser supports it

Install button

This browser has not offered an install prompt, so the button is unavailable. The step-by-step instructions below work instead.

iPhone and iPad

Installing from Safari

  1. 1. Open napactually.com in Safari.
  2. 2. Tap Share.
  3. 3. Choose Add to Home Screen.
  4. 4. Turn on Open as Web App if it is offered.
  5. 5. Tap Add.

iOS does not give websites an install button, so these steps are the real path — anything claiming otherwise would be pretending.

Android

Installing from Chrome

  1. 1. Open napactually.com in Chrome.
  2. 2. Open the browser menu.
  3. 3. Choose Install app, Install and create shortcut, or Add to Home screen — whichever your device displays.
  4. 4. Confirm the installation when the browser asks.

Wording varies by browser and device version. NAP never claims an installation succeeded until your browser reports it, and NAP will not ask you again if you decline.

Your information

What installing does and does not change

  • Account-backed information stays tied to your signed-in NAP account, exactly as it does in a normal browser tab.
  • Device-local information — anything NAP keeps on your device rather than in your account — is not automatically backed up anywhere.
  • Removing the installed web app, clearing site data or resetting your browser can remove device-local information permanently.
  • Export anything you want to keep before you clear site data or remove the installed experience.
  • Installing does not enable email, tracking, wearable connections, background synchronisation or any kind of medical monitoring.
  • Whether device-local information carries over between a normal browser tab and the installed window has not yet been verified on real Android and iOS devices, so NAP does not promise it.

Version 1 of the installable app does not work fully offline. When you are offline, NAP shows a short page saying it cannot reach the internet.
