The NAP Collective — concept
Understand your patterns. Build systems that fit your life. Feel less alone doing it.
The Collective is the proposed membership level: everything in NAP Premium, plus a private peer community, monthly planning sessions, founder office hours, and practical workshops. It is intended as a higher subscription with a monthly and an annual option, and community access will only ever come from a verified membership record rather than from a label on this page.
None of it is active. There is no NAP community on Discord, Circle, Mighty Networks, or anywhere else. No provider has been chosen, no membership is on sale, and no member count, event, or conversation on this page is real — because none exists yet.
Positioning
What it is for
Understand your patterns. Build systems that fit your life. Feel less alone doing it.
Premium tools, shared experience, practical workshops, and a community that understands. The tools are the easy part; the third sentence is the reason this level is being considered at all.
Membership
What membership may include
Every line below is a proposal. Read the labels.
- Planned
Everything in NAP Premium
The recaps, advanced planning modes, custom reports, and premium downloads — whenever Premium exists.
- Requires Provider
A private peer community
Somewhere to talk with people who already understand the calculation behind a normal-looking day.
- Requires Community Launch
Monthly group planning session
Plan the month ahead together, out loud, with the option to stay on camera-off and quiet.
- Requires Community Launch
Monthly founder office hours
An open hour with Anne to ask practical questions about planning, work, and tooling.
- Requires Community Launch
Work and career roundtables
Disclosure, accommodations, meeting load, freelancing, and interviews — from people doing it.
- Requires Community Launch
Travel conversations
Flights, time zones, work trips, and the days after. Planning, not advice.
- Requires Community Launch
Quiet coworking and body-doubling
Shared silence with the camera optional, for the tasks that are easier alongside someone.
- Requires Community Launch
Rest-positive community events
Sessions where rest is the point, not a confession.
- Requires Community Launch
Guest educational speakers
Sessions from people with genuine, verifiable expertise. No speaker is booked, and none will be named before they are.
- Requires Community Launch
Practical workshops
Working sessions that end with something you can use — a template, a plan, or a script.
- Requires Community Launch
Workshop replay library
Recordings, for the days a live session is not possible.
- Requires Community Launch
Member-created templates
Day shapes made by members, shared by choice, credited how the maker wants.
- Requires Community Launch
Community recommendations
Practical things members actually rate, kept separate from anything sponsored.
- Requires Community Launch
Product testing
First look at unfinished tools, with the rough edges left visible.
- Planned
Member discounts
Reduced pricing on workshops and future NAP products.
- Requires Community Launch
Optional accountability partners
Opt-in pairing, easy to leave, with no streaks and no reporting on each other.
- Requires Community Launch
Community story opportunities
A route to sharing your story publicly if you want to — never a requirement of membership.
Where it would live
An externally hosted community, chosen in the open
NAP will not build custom real-time chat. A community would be hosted by an outside provider, and the choice has not been made. These are the candidates being weighed.
- Requires Provider
Discord
Why it might fit: Lowest friction for a small founding-member pilot, and familiar to many people already.
The trade-off: Fast-moving, noisy by default, and harder to keep calm and searchable. Weaker fit for a paid, structured membership.
- Requires Provider
Circle
Why it might fit: Structured, branded membership with spaces, events, and clearer moderation tooling.
The trade-off: A platform cost from day one, and another account for members to create.
- Requires Provider
Mighty Networks
Why it might fit: Courses, events, and community in one place if workshops become central.
The trade-off: Heavier than a pilot needs, and more product to learn before anything is proven.
What would never cross the boundary
- No journal entry, plan, task, report, imported file, or wearable reading is ever sent to a community provider — automatically or otherwise.
- A community provider would receive only what is strictly needed to grant access, and only after you join and consent.
- Community posts live on the community platform and are separate from your private NAP data.
- Your NAP account and a future community account can be deleted independently, and deleting one never requires keeping the other.
- Access would be checked against a verified membership record on NAP's server — never a flag the browser can set.
Safety & scope
What a community is, and what it is not
This section is not fine print. It is the boundary that makes peer conversation safe enough to have.
It is
- Peer conversation
- Practical support
- Shared lived experience
- Education
- Social connection
It is not
- Medical care
- Therapy
- Crisis support
- Diagnosis
- Treatment advice
- Medication advice
- Emergency monitoring
Rules that would be non-negotiable
- Diagnosing another member
- Telling someone to start, stop, increase, decrease, or combine a medication
- Treatment or supplement spam
- Harassment
- Discrimination
- Unsolicited direct messages
- Sharing another member's story outside the community
- Scraping or collecting member information
- Affiliate promotion without prior approval
- Claiming professional credentials you do not hold
- Relying on the community for crisis or emergency response
Moderation, as a concept
- Concept
Report
Any member could report a post or a person, with a written record of what was reported and when.
- Concept
Block
Blocking would be one-sided, immediate, and invisible to the person blocked.
- Concept
Moderation
Human moderators working to published rules. Moderation would not be continuous — there is no 24-hour cover, and none would be claimed.
- Concept
Removal
Removing a post, restricting an account, or ending a membership, with the reason stated to the person affected.
- Concept
Appeal
A written route to contest a decision, reviewed by someone other than the moderator who made it.
NAP would not claim 24-hour moderation, and a community must never be anybody's crisis plan. If you are in danger or cannot stay safely awake, that needs real-world help, not a forum.
Member privacy
What a member would control
Membership should never cost you privacy about your health.
- Use a display name instead of your real name
- Limit who can see your profile
- Choose whether direct messages are allowed at all
- Decide whether you appear in a member directory
- Leave the community without leaving NAP
- Request deletion of your account and your community access
- See exactly which external platform hosts the community
- Understand that community posts are separate from your private NAP data
Never on a member profile by default
- Diagnosis or diagnostic status
- Journal entries
- Tasks and plans
- Sleep, nap, or rest information
- Reports
- Connected data sources
- Wearable readings
Programming — concept only
A month, if one existed
A sample rhythm to argue with. Nothing is scheduled, nobody is booked, and no guest or partnership is named because none has been arranged.
- Concept
First Monday
Plan the Month You Actually Have
A shared planning hour: capacity first, commitments second.
- Concept
Second Wednesday
Quiet Coworking
Cameras optional, microphones off, one small task each.
- Concept
Third Thursday
Work and Career Roundtable
Disclosure, accommodations, and meeting load, discussed as peers.
- Concept
Fourth Sunday
Monthly Reflection
What you noticed this month, described rather than scored.
- Concept
Quarterly
Travel and Recovery Workshop
Planning a trip and the days after it.
- Concept
Quarterly
Supporting Someone With Narcolepsy
A session for partners, family, friends, and colleagues.
- Concept
Occasional
Guest educational session
Only with a genuinely qualified guest. No names until one is actually booked.
Access
How membership access would actually work
- Access would be granted from a verified membership record held on NAP's server, not from anything the browser can set or edit.
- If you ever join, a community area appears in your account with the link and the name of the platform hosting it. Until then it says so plainly.
- Leaving the Collective would end community access and nothing else. Your planner, journal, and exports are unaffected.
Hear about it if it opens.
One letter if the Collective ever becomes real, with the platform and the price written plainly. No waitlist that takes money.
